Well, I burnt up my TH350 and I am going to try to rebuild it. I've rebuilt 4 speed and 5 speed manuals but never an automatic. I figure I'll get a good book on them and take a whack at it. Other than better clutches and bands, what other TH350 parts should I replace to strengthen it? Looking on the net, I see that the sprag and the input shaft can be replaced with stronger versions. Any other points of failure? I know I could just go to a stronger tranny, but I'd like to rebuild this one for the fun of it and to understand them better since they've always been sort of a black box to me. Eventually, I'd go to newer OD when I have the $$...
