Rebuilt 1969 430. The oil passages are drilled to the larger 71 and newer size and has a 5/8" pick up tube. The crank is .010' under on the mains, .020" under on the rods. The pistons are Sealed Power .030" over with stock compression ratio. I believe they are cast, NOT forged. Crank seals are neoprene. The cam is a Poston Stage 1 blueprint. Double roller chain. Stage 1 fuel pump. Heads are stock 1972 with standard valve job, NOT stage 1. Heat risers blocked. Intake is also 1972. Stamped steel rocker arms. Valve covers are from a 1975. Flexplate included. No carb, distributor or exhaust manifolds but I could provide them for additional cost. I got the engine in a package deal. It was a fresh rebuild and very clean so I pulled it apart to check everything out. I found they used stock cam bearings and had a hi volume oil pump installed. This caused the bearings to "melt". I pulled the cam and crank to flush the block and replaced the cam bearings with TA grooved bearings. Crank bearings looked like new and I replaced the rod bearings because they had some light scuffing. There is NO ridge in the cylinder bores and the cross hatching is still completely visible. We ran the engine for 30 minutes on the test stand and it sounds great. Very quiet valve train and great oil pressure. 20lbs hot at 600 rpm idle and jumps to 75 by 1500 rpm. It was not run on a dyno so I have no HP or torque figures. Stock 69 430 is 360HP I believe. Add a little for the Stage 1 cam and whatever carb and exhaust you would be using. Asking $750 plus shipping. Steve
Carl, your next. First 2 passed because shipping cost so much. Novi is not that far. Give me a call 248-459-2247 Thanks
Carl passed and I think speed boat Mike was making a joke. Flint 67 you're next. Give me a call tomorrow OK?
I wish shipping hadn't priced me out of this. It would've been awesome in my 72. Glad you got it sold quick Steve.
