I am listing these heads for a friend. He has two sets of rebuilt Buick 455 heads for sale. He says they are for a 1970-71, and 1973 455. The casting #'s for the 1970-71 are 1237661 and the 1973 casting #'s are 1231860. I do not think they are the Stage 1 type heads. They want $200 o.b.o. for each set.

The heads are located in Zion, IL. I don't know about shipping, thats kinda up to the possible purchaser. I could however deliver them within reason, to Northern Illinois, South Eastern Wisconsin, or North West Indiana.

Any questions, call Frank's Auto Center, 847-746-8416. Ask for Chuck or Jason. Thanks for looking.

    Regards, John.

I need an entire 71 455 for my GS. Are either of those casting numbers correct for a 71 Stage 1 GS?

    Maybe others know?

If so, I can pick up.

I am sorry David, I do not know. I am sure if you post on the bench, or the street/strip section, someone will know.

    Regards, John.

As far as I know, they still are. However, I believe Dave was going to talk to the party selling them. I will call the seller, and post tomorrow morning, the status of both sets of heads. Feel free to call the number in this post as well.

    Regards, John.:TU:

I have decided to look for an entire date correct engine rather than buy it piecemeal.

    Thanks!

Just to let anyone looking at these heads, they have been taken apart, cleaned and inspected. They have had the valve seals replaced, been given a three angle valve job, and re assembled, using the O.E. valves and springs. They did not replace the valves, or the springs, because they were just fine. They have also been painted, so they are still in great shape. Thanks for your interest.

    Regards, John.
