Hector, I finally got the new gear box into my GS yesterday and made a test run up into Decker Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. That road is constant twists and turns and the difference with the new box was night and day. I was even tempted to take on the tuners that are always up there racing on weekends, but thought the better of it. One of these days when I'm out in your direction I'll swing by and drop off the core.

    I have two questions?

Is this a variable ratio box, like a 70 chevelle, or a fixed quick ratio?

How will it work with a corvette c5 power steering pump? I have an ls swap and the corvette pump I believe puts out more pressure and flow that the stock pump does. I have read about changing torsion bars so that steering isn't "overboosted"

    Joe

most of my cores are 70-72 chevelle and 70 -72 el camino - 70 72 monte carlo but I could not tell you for sure.

I never had someone install it with a C5 ps pump sorry wish I had more answers.

The steering box gig started because my core buyer was dishonest and i ran across a rebuilder. I have had the compared sise to side with a high dollar one and all specs are the same
