Rebuilt tranny question

    Is it normal to have a slight whine during the break in of a rebuilt switch pitch transmission?

    Sounds like it may just be low on fluid, if it's "whining"! :Smarty:

    Make sure you CHECK the fluid level! The only reason you would have a "whine" means that you have cavitation (air where there should be fluid), and the Metal components are not getting enough lubrication (Metal to Metal is what causes the "whine" noise)! :bglasses:

    Nothing major to be concerned about, it should quiet down, as the fluid gets circulated. :TU:
