looks like a beautiful set, but, to be clear, they didn’t come from the factory greasy, that is oils that have leeched out of the rubber. I have had sets that so much has leeched out that the mats are brittle. These don’t look like they would have an issue, more of a caution if you ever run into it
How would one go about trying to figure out whether these are for the A-bodies or for the B and C cars? Anybody know the part numbers for the two?
Visual clues I'm guessing would include the hole for the brights button and the strange notch cut into the driver side which I have no idea what is for.
Early cars had a gas pedal hinged at the bottom, so the mat would fit around the gas pedal. Later cars had the gas pedal hinged at the fire wall. That type of gas pedal might get caught on that type of mat.

yeah, i can just see the design team at work: "Howsa about this sample, boss? Nice and dry, good grip for your shoes, looks nice --" "No, they need to be slippery and kinda gross." "But the customers--" "I said more grease! MORE grease! And you working on the horns -- more cowbell!"
The red used in 61-64 was a brighter red than years to follow, while they would fit the later years they would really pop compared to the rest of the red interior and cb nay make the later red look dingy or dull. I have had and sold NOS in both colors and there is a substantial difference
