SLP built them (same people who built the Firehawk F bodies and other manufacturer sanctioned hot rods). https://over-drive-magazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/2003-Buick-Regal-SLP-GSX-Brochure-1-8.pdf https://www.newgmparts.com/blog/brief-history-of-the-pontiac-firehawkm Patrick
That is really cool to know that SLP built them. I have a 96 Z28/SS that was built by SLP. Learn something new everyday!
I drove it and it is a nice ride. Lowered but not harsh. Jared is a great guy and willing to work with potential buyer..... Super clean southern car..... I would buy it but I have an addiction that I am working with involving cars......
When I bought my '96, I had no idea that, for that year only, if you ordered the SS package from SLP, the car actually carried both names. The front fenders and rear just had the SS emblems, but the ram air cleaner housing and the dash plaque both say Z28/SS. The plaques also had the car's build number. Mine is #0390, so an early production build. In '97, they dropped the Z28, and just called it a SS. Also, I had no idea that of all years that the SS option was offered, including '67, '96 was the fewest SS's produced... just 2,200.
