This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

I know this has been a real blessing to Mike and Cindy to receive these donations in such a hard time. I am very impressed at how Buick guys have come together to help as everyone did!

Jim, I see where you have taken down the "Mike Garrison Fund". I am very happy to see all that gave so much to help Mike & Cindy with their re-building of a total loss of their business. This shows the kindness from the heart of a lot of Buick community guys and I am proud to be part of that. Now that it is over, Did Mike get all the monies that was collected? How much was the total collected?
Thanks again to all who gave. I know Mike would help anyone of you if needed.

Anyone have an update on this?

I think it was 10k and some change donated but that’s all I know except that Mike came on the board and thanked everyone on one of posts in the threads.
Sounds like the business survived the disaster though

Yes but people donated afterward, wondering if that money went to Mike. After all, f you donated, wouldn’t you want your funds to reach the family? This is from August.

    Rob,

Yes, we just closed out the fund here a couple weeks ago, and I will be paypaling the remaining funds to Mike and his wife (Cindy?) here when I do the end of year books next month. The paypal account is the same one that the board, and my company uses, and while I was watching it like a hawk the first several months, when donations were coming in hot and heavy, and keeping it all straight so I could make sure and get the funds out to them asap, once the donations started coming in at the rate of one or two a month, they got mixed in with board donations and TSP payments, so I need to sit down and sort them all out.. In fact I have to do a complete audit, as it has come to my attention here recently, that several donations were made, that were for the board support, that actually got counted toward the relief fund.

Yes, in hindsight, I should have set up a new papal account for this, but I had no idea that the community was going to come out like it did.. I thought we might get a couple thousand...

Of the top of my head, there is about $800 bucks left in the relief fund. Two 5K payments were sent months ago, I do believe I posted on this thread when we did that.

    --------------

I saw Mike and Cindy here at the nats last month, and they again wanted to thank everyone on the board for the support. I even got a big hug from Cindy. I told her what I have been telling everyone, the thanks goes to you guys, I just spend a few minutes writing a post...
