And I thought we were the only ones that liked to make duplicate parts. :Do No:
Mike, why don't you try to reproduce the 67 grille?

Actually I wasnt reproducing any thing I was going to get grills from the currunt manufacturer since the GSCA didnt care that I did. Oh yea I CALLED THEM and asked them if it would be alright. I didnt want to step on any toes. Unlike yourself who took it upon yourself to take my parts and duplicate them. Oh yea why ??? Lets tell...... You couldnt make enough money was your story I beleve. You never have asked me for quanity billing so you "thought" I was firm in my prices. You "thought" that you can get in the buick market by cheating but look here the buick market isnt like the chevy market. Buick guys are few and far apart compared to the cookie cut chevy guys on every street corner every friday night. WE are a close net group. We talk to each other and compare notes. You are going to find out that the inventory of stuff will go up as your sales stay the same. Ive been in this buisiness for over 25 years and I have sold the BUICK parts I have in person and I sell them thru several vendors. AS you go in each one of their backdoors to cut me out remember I was here first. I am not going away. PLay fair and the skys the limit. Play rough well I guess thats what we'er doing here. You want all my 68-9 core support stuff too??? I will sell you the whole pile of it one shot!! You know why ???? I have $5000 setting there in cost and noone wants any. I like my inventory pile too....not. I await your responce

IMHO, I'd bet the only grilles that TPP is "copying" is the original ones that Buick made. You can't acuse them of 'copying' anyone elses 71 GS grille because there WAS no one else. A non original grill would be more likely to have flaws which would probaly not be cheap to correct the tooling they use to make these. My .03

Go ahead and buy the 70 grilles from GSCA's supplier nobody wants them, and if they already have one, I am sure they will order a new one from us when they become available. No one wants a poor quality part that needs finishing work. We left this dispute at rest the first time it came up (way back when), but everytime you can, you take a jab at us and now you are getting all upset because we are starting to jab back. We will gladly keep quiet and make our parts for everyone. We have done nothing to be cut-throat towards you until you kept making little comments here and little comments there. If there wasn't a need for another 70 grille then we wouldn't even mess around with it. But, as you can see there is still a great demand for it, otherwise no one would be voting on the poll for it. We are trying to be nothing but fair and feel we have come with some pretty nice parts for the Skylarks and keep producing them in the future.

This 'battle" or "war" is getting VERY old. I've bought parts from both you(70 tailights from TPP and shifter parts/70 core support patch panel from RACEBUICKS}and all the parts were of excellent quality and I will continue to buy stuff from BOTH places in the future.

I agree it is old. But the truth needs to be in place. I would have settled this along time ago however the ego of TPP wont allow them to even look at what I come to the table with. They cant even post their name so everyone knows who is here posting. I would love to talk selling my parts in mass quanity, however TPP's buyer didnt even give it a shot. Even after I told him I had a computer crash and couldnt talk about the prices till I was up again. But here I am once again. I still have my stuff to sell as they do too. I dont care who buys it as long as I can move product.

I will throw the first olive branch. You want to talk about sales of what I have in quanity lets talk. If you cant get past that then we compete for the little buick market there is. You want my numbers? email me mike@mrbuick.com Lets negotiate. I am in this as a hobby more than for the profit. I HAVE a full time job. and then this is secondary. You can benifit from my knowledge. I can benifit from your massive sales counter. We both could win. And I can go build another part to sell. And thats what Im about!!! :TU:

    Hi,

Well that not very good spirit business. I'm the person which has the 1970 and 1971 GS grills made in France ( ok it's not made in USA but neither made in Taiwan....).
The information your printing is incorrect, facts please, be sport. I have sent like 150 1970 grills and another shipment is due this month, as for 1971's the quantities are about the same. So some people want the GSCA grills, maybe more will prefer yours, good for you.
I'm not going to spent my time saying "parts from PartPlace are junk blablabla", as a matter of fact I'll probably be buying stuff from you guys since your catalog has lots of good things.

As for the copy sake of the 1971 well I guess many buick people, but apparently not all, saw the grill that I sent to the Gs nationals in mid-May.

I don't think it's good to try to sell parts buy saying the others are no good, that's argument-less, let customers make their own opinion.

I'm not familiar to the moderator's role but I think they should try to calm the insults... as I repeat they are not founded.

    Olivier
