Does anyone have any tips on removing the fender emblems on a 1970 GS 455? Do you have to remove the fender to get to the nuts?
You have to do get to the backside of the fender and it is not easy. 1. Remove rocker panel and panel mounting strip 2. Remove bottom 3 fender well screws, closest to emblems 3. Remove 9/16" hex head screws from lower fender mounting to cowl 4. Have an assistant hold the fender from the fenderwell while you get your hand to the emblem nuts. It is a pain but take your time.
