Jason, No, the tang does not hit the stop, it's stops short. Throttle cable does not pull it long enough. I will make adjustments this week/end and let everyone know the results. Stanley - Thank you for confirming the bracket is correct, I agree, I believe the cable is stretched, needing the slack removed. V/r Charles
In that case, maybe go to any lawn equipment repair store and get a "wire stop" for the throttle cable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Wire-Stop-with-Swivel-Universal-Throttle-Brake-Cable-Mini-Bike-/181193567133?hash=item2a2ffa6b9d:g:~l0AAOSwofxUb3p6
Nothing like setting the carburetor up after driving it not set up correctly. Before I knew that the secondary air valve spring could/should be changed (1975), I set the tension by the book on a friend's '68 GTO. It always bogged out when he punched it. First time he got into it and it went sideways, he said, "Tires are wet". Second time he got into it and it proceeded to roll smoke on dry pavement. Nice long double stripes with mini gaps on upshifts. Mission accomplished. 1/2 turn on a screw can make a huge difference.
Looking at your pic, the accelerator pump linkage should be in the other hole ( closest to the pump ) on the pump arm.
