I want to replace the carpet in my 72 Skylark with the Dark Saddle Loop style carpet. I know dark saddle wasn't a 72 color but that is the color I want. I'm guessing that all replacement carpets are not created equal so I'm hoping someone here can suggest a good quality vendor or manufacturer. I see a lot of people selling carpet with prices from $169 to $350. So who sells the good quality carpet at a fair price?
I don't think you really have any choices...as far as THE MANUFACTURER. To my knowledge Auto Custom Carpets ("ACC") is the only manufacturer of these replacement loop style carpet sets. There used to be another manufacturer and that was Trim Parts but I heard they sold their carpet business to ACC. You can buy from any number of repro parts vendors but you will likely notice that the carpet set will be drop shipped to you from...you guessed it....Auto Custom Carpets. One suggestion.....get some carpet color sample swatches from whoever you are talking to....Legendary can mail you swatches....I've had them send swatches to me before.
Did you have any luck with your carpet? You are looking for the same thing I am. 72 Syklark and I want Dark Saddle loop. OPGI shows Dark Saddle in their catalog and the current price is $169.99 for a 2dr.
