    Greg,

Did you pick up a '65 project car?

    I've had a 65 2-door sedan (base Skylark, not a GS) for 10+ years.
I tore it down years ago to start a restoration on it. To keep a long bitter story short, my then-wife was all for the project until she realized that I'd be spending money. After that she had a royal fit every time I turned a wrench & it ended up just sitting. We divorced a couple of years later, but I haven't restarted work on it. Frankly, I still get PO'd every time I try; the old scars reopening...

Current projects are a remodel on the garage and the project 66 pickup in my signature. Garage'll be done this summer. When the pickup's done I'll look at the Skylark again. I'm with a wonderful woman now; more supportive than I could ever imagine, and a car buff to boot. She intends to make new memories around the Skylark by it being "our" project for her to learn on. She wants to do a 68/69 GS for herself, so you know she's a class act!!

Good to hear progress is being made on the 65 lenses. I'm rock solid on needing two sets and may have to get one more set for spares.

I'm applying pressure to the individual the only way I know how. It's not a pretty site.

To purchase the '66 or '65 (when they become available) repro lenses, contact v8buick.com member "benderbrew" (Len)...

As the person that started this thread, I am merely keeping a list of those interested in the lenses. I am in no way affiliated with production. Just trying to help out...

I put my 2 orders in many many moons ago! the question I have is what is the dimensions of the lenses because if you guys outt here know, there is a difference in the bumpers on 65 GS's verses the sedans and such....65 year that is...Please submit the dimensions of the new repro's...THANKS!!!

I definately still need my 2 new sets..THANKS!

Just smoked a fast and furious car the other night...Damn he was pissed....Poor honda...Anyways he couldnt see nothing but white smoke and hear nothing but nailhead barkin at 4000 RPM....I'd be upset to when a 4000+ lbs car smokes a RICE BURNER ON NOS!!! Later gearheads! :3gears: :beer :beer :beer

I still have, perhaps, two to four sets of the 66 lenses left. No 65s yet. The last I heard from the "vendor", was he is working on it. I can do little from this end other to ask for periodic updates.
