According to the GSCA they will be reproducing the 71 GS grille this spring. For further details you can contact the GSCA.
Mike, Wouldn't it be ironic if the GSCA bought a 71 GS grille from TPP and repopped them and sold them cHeaper?????...........Just a thought.
I know that Olivier (of repro 70 grill fame) was considering doing 71 next. Depending on how far into this project he may have been, I would expect the GSCA project to be cancelled.
I asked Oliver in another thread about it, he replied the that if someone else made them he wouldn't. Maybe someone could help with the link to that thread.
Geez, no one wanted to make this, now everybody does. ou: My biggest fear is that they'll all get cold feet and drop the project for fear of too much competition in such a small market to make their required pay back. :Smarty:
You know what that means Ken?-buy them while you can before something does happen!!!!!(buy 2-one for your car and the other for a spare)
The GSCA newletter I recieved last week stated that they would have a prototype 71 GS grille at the GS Nats in May.They are being made my the same people who made the 70 GS grilles for them.
The Parts Place also very recently posted on this board, that they should have something ready by end of April. I'll see if I can find the post... here it is, reply #16 in this thread: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=521577#post521577
I want one, but now I don't know if I should buy it right when TPP gets theirs. What are the chances of the club grill being better quality? Anyone have a 70 grill made by TPP? If so, is it a good reproduction?
71 GS Grille In the January/February 2005 issue of the GS X-TRA, on page 16, an add from CARS states "1971 GS Grill Coming Soon". Another option for 71 GS owners? Time will tell
