Repro Metal Housing Tach Just rec`d my new repro tach. Clocking in at 2000 RPM out of the box. Will this thing zero out once powered ?. I`m a Little Leary as I purchased it to replace the early style plastic housed unit which never did work. Any comments appreciated.o No: Paul
After market tachs can have an air core movement. They reset everytime you power them up. I have a hard time believing your reproduction tach is that modern. Does it have 3 leads, or are the connections like a stocker? If it has 3 leads, ground it and apply 12 volts, and see if the needle goes to zero. If it doesn't, send it back.
