  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Resto questions

Discussion in 'Wrenchin' Secrets' started by Dans 77 Limited, Apr 26, 2003.

  1. My 77 Limited is very close to being original, I want to put the fininshing touches on it but im just not sure what the right parts are , hell they may be on it already I might not know it .
anyway heres what I need to know:

What is the original battery that came with my car new in 77? Is a repop still available?
What are the original tires that came on my car in 77 ?Are they still available ?
My car came equipped with a 403 Oldsmobile motor , the block is painted a blue metallic, is this an Olds color ? or did Buick repaint the Olds motors to "hide " the fact that they werent Buick engines and if they did does anyone know where i can get this paint ?

Also my trunk Jack instruction decal is missing . On any of the websites I find They list Jack instruction sheets for 1976 and 1978 but seeing as how the body style changed in 77, did they reamke the jack insruction sheet for 77 and its listed as 78 or just continue to use the 76 jack instruction sheet. I would love to make my Electra a true factory showroom car but I dont really know enough about it to get it done correctly without some help .

    Thanks
    Dan

    BadBrad Got 4-speed?

Well, on the engine paint issue, my parents purchased a '76 Skylark SR with a Buick 350, and a '77 LeSabre with an Olds 403. Both cars were right off the showroom floor and both engines were blue. Been along time now, but I think the 350 had a more metallic look to the paint than the 403.
