Does anyone make repro rocker panel moldings for 70-72 Skylark? (72 specifically)

Also, are these the same as the ones on the Pontiac Lemans or Olds Cutlass? I've seen 2 different types, one looks like the Lemans one (I think) on the rocker panel, and the other is a skinny molding that's a little higher up (not the body side molding but down lower). Maybe one is for Skylark base and the other is for the Custom??

rocker panel mouldings are unique to each vehicle & product line. seems to me that the partsplace may have repopped them.

Check with Cars www.oldbuickparts.com The Buicks are nothing like the other makes. The Buicks have 2 red or black stripes on them among other differences.

I do not believe the skinny one is made. Only the big striped stainless.

Is the GS rp molding the same as the wide Skylark mldg, other than the red stripes? In other words, does the Sky. Custom mldg. have ribs but no color insert, or is it a different molding altogether?

Same moulding either car. GS had red stripes, Custom had black.

My '72 Skylark Custom convertible has the ribbed wide stainless moldings but did not have any stripes on it. I just added dual black stripes on the molding - looks much better!

Somebody took the paint off...or it wore off before you got'em.

P.S. Sold your Sandlewood steering wheel to someone in Tenn.
have a Ralleye wheel now. Sorry to hear you sold your GSX Clone.

    >>Did you find a sandalwood sport steering wheel? Those are very hard to find. I'm in the middle of taking off the black deluxe steering wheel from my '72 Skylark convertible to put in a black sport steering wheel. Yeah, I was sad to see my GSX clone go - that Buick gave me a lot of great memories.

No, I found a Saddle sport steering wheel....perfect match.
My interior is Saddle...but your Sandalwood didn't look too bad.
Yes, the sport steering wheel really helps make the car!:TU:

One more question, since it is so difficult and/or expensive to find the Buick GS moldings, would you be able to take a GTO mldg. and put 2 stripes on it, or are they completely different size and shape? Much easier/cheaper to do that since the only new Buick mldg. costs $199 for each one and the Pontiac is only like $65 for each. Would also have to find the clips, etc. since this car has no mldgs. right now.
