I have a 70 Riviera that I am trying to restore. My friend and his father are helping me out because there is ALOT that i need to know and learn. Long story short, when my friends dad was working on my brakes he encountered a big problem in finding rotors for a 1970 Buick Riviera. Apparently the rotors were only made for that particular year. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Javon
Javon, You need rotors from a 68-70 Riviera and I believe 68-70 B or C bodies will work from Buick or Oldsmobile ( Lesabre/Wildcat/Delta 88 or Electra/98 ) They are not easy to find. Hopefully someone on the board will be able to help. Be sure to check EBAY as they do pop up every now and then. Good luck with your search. Kevin :Comp:
The average price seems to be 800.00/ pair when they come up for sale. Very rare set of rotors. They only fit 67-70 Rivieras. Nothing interchanges. Im on my last cut on my 69.
'67-'68-'69 rotors are only for those year big cars & Rivs. They were a 4 piston caliper rotor with a seperate hub (hat) attached to the rotor. 1970 is the 1st. year of the single piston sliding caliper with the older suspension set-up. So 1970 is by itself only. No other GM makes will work or fit. 1971 went to a different front suspension & are different again. One year only & quite expensive, if you can find any at all.

Contact Donny73 here. He has a 70 Riv parts car in FL, just north of Palm Beach. I don't know if it is disc brakes or not.
Too bad I didn't know that you needed that a month ago, there was a 70 Riv in a yard here. I'll keep my eyes open..
