Not mine but just stumbled across this online... Is someone daring enough to save it? http://www.actionsalvage.com/Cars/67skylark.asp EDIT: I see that they have sold this car: http://actionsalvage.com/Rebuild.htm Wonder what becomes of it?
That's the same car located on Long Island NY and sold to someone in Ohio back last summer. I believe it sold on Ebay for over $2,500
I remember seeing it too. Ain't it the one that was pulled from a pond by a wrecker and put it for auction? Ray
As if it wasn't bad enough already, they finished it off by picking it up with a fork lift:shock: (see pic 5)
steve, You said that you thought it was a good deal when you were looking at it in my garage, LOL! But seriously, I called up on it just to get the hood scoops and grill and it was long gone. they updated the site after I called to inicate it was sold.
Ken, sweet ride in your avatar. Can you send some pics when you get a chance? tom.wolfinger@gmail.com I am working a 20 yr barn find 67 gs rag and am looking to get some ideas on the look, etc...
Doesn't look any worse than mine when I bought it. :TU: People look at cars in all different ways. Take the seats for example... If the seats are there... it doesn't matter if they are TOTALLY completely wasted and disgusting , or just ripped in several places. You're still going to buy pads and covers right? Regardless if the convertible top has a little tiny tear or it's completely falling apart.. you're still going to replace the top, right? Same rule applies to 90% of the cars parts. o No: I say restore it! :TU:
Rick you are absolutely correct! I restore cars for a living and what you state is the way it is. Most people are visual creatures and pass on good cars because they may not look pretty but are solid and restorable project cars.
