I want to get one of the new compressors that are a direct replacement for the A6, and am wondering if anyone has an opinion as to the comparative merits of these two. Prices I've seen online are in the same ballpark.
I've used 5 Pro6ten compressors since 2008 without any issues at all. I haven't had a chance to test the S6, but plan to this summer on my daughters El Camino. Pro6ten= Sanden 508 based S6= Nippondenso 10P15 based Both are very good, reliable units. If pressed to pick the "better" unit of the two, I would lean slightly toward the Sanden. I've seen a few more shaft seal leaks in ND units over the years.
