Last weekend spent Sat a.m. walking thru a local yard with my son. Some joker smashed the drivers side window out of his 85 T/A. When I called the yard asking them about the window I asked the lady if they had any pre-70's cars and she said "I think there's some out there. Just let the owner know you want to see them. While the guy was out in the yard pulling the glass the owner let my son and I roam free (unheard of around here). Back in the corner there was a complete 56 Chrysler, a complete 62 Fury, 70 Cutlass, a Cougar with the roof cut off :Do No: and about 20 other cars in various stages of decay.(most in the latter stages)

Sad part was running across a 70 Torino that appeared to have been restored and carried a nice paint job. It looked like it had been T-boned by a train. Turns out the car had been in the yard for less than a year. It belonged to local guy who spent a lot of time getting it fixed up.
Ended up traveling at a high rate of speed when it got away from him and he crossed the center line into a truck. He lived but it killed his 10 year old son.
    Senseless.

On a lighter note....the one that really caught my eye was the 68 LaSabre 400 convertible. Blue with a decaying white top. Appeared to be complete with a straight body.
Made me wonder how it got there in the first place.
I asked the owner if we would sell the car and he said he wasn't sure but he thought he had the title. He said he would let the engine go for $300 or the entire car for $800

I took pics with my cell phone but haven't uploaded them yet.
