:jd: yes I think I'm going chevy with my drive train. Does anyone make bolt in conversion cradle mounts?

What kind of car? Generally you can just grab the frame mounts from the Chevy-powered version of whatever you are working on (i.e. use Chevelle frame pads in a Skylark, etc.)

PS Chevy motors in a Buick are heresy on V8Buick.com!

Its going in a 65 special. They are easier to find parts for, lighter, and much cheeper. And it will not take anything away from the car. I'm leaving the rest of the car stock Buick. :3gears:

It will take everything away from the car. Time for you to move over to www.chevelles.com

Send me an email direct to buickdav@yahoo.com. While I don't agree at all with putting a chevy in your car, I understand why you are doing it. I will try and help you with the info you need. And if I can't help ya, I have a buddy that can, and will.

I just ran across a link from another Buick web site that gave me a part # for trans-dapt 9596 conversion mounts. My speed shop is looking in to avalability. Thanks

If any one can give me a resonably priced easy 11 second combo I'm all ears?
Nothing is set in stone, already have the chevy 12 bolt to put in.

All you need is 64-67 chevelle V8 mount brackets. These will fit both big and small blocks. Use chevelle or chevy parts for the rest. The swap is very easy. I have done this with a 427 L88. Talk about a Serta perfect sleeper, and a lot cheaper.
BTW, parts are about the same cost, big or small. I would go with a big block. You will not be sorry.

Cbc, would be nice if you could include your name in your posts. Add a signature line to your settings.

As for an 11 seconde set-up, see www.buickperformance.com for
several combos that meet your requirements.

I think Buick engines in Chevy's is great! I'm putting a 455 in my Suburban 4x4. Possibly a Nailhead in my '57 pickup.
