Is there a way to search a specific section of the forum? Also is there a way to search for specific phrases instead of individual words? Thanks.
If you're already looking at that particular forum, like the one we're in now, look to the right of the page and click "Search this Forum". Likewise if you're in the Search Forums page, on the right you can select a specific forum before you click "search now". For phrase searching, add "quotes to the phrase". Another quick way to search is through Google.com. Type your word or phrase with quotes into the google search box, then a space, add the function site:v8buick.com. It'll look like this. Devon
I spoke to soon, lol. I might be missing something here, but the only button I'm seeing is for searching the thread that I am in. I would like to search complete sections of the forum such as Parts wanted or Lost and Found. Is that possible?
You have to be looking at a Forum page, not one of the discussion threads in the forum: Here's where you narrow the search to a forum from the main search page: Devon
Go to the top of this thread. Click the "Search" button. This pop-up screen will come up: Click "Advanced search" and this screen opens up: Click screenshot for a bigger image :Comp: Now you can select the board sections you want to search. In the screenshot you can see that I have selected "Search All Open Forums" :TU:
Duhhhhh, thanks....can't believe I missed all that. My excuse is I was tired and it was late. Thanks for breaking it down for me!ou:
