Is their a special tool needed to remove the old sock, and install a new one? Whats the pros and cons of not having a sock at all and using an inline filter instead?
I use this pick up, no sock on it. https://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/1069_gmsend.html I have one filter in the frame rail before the CV Mechanical pump, and one in the line from the pump to the carburetor.
Made my own pick up tube in the Riv. No sock. Filter on the frame rail just after the tank and one in the carb
