Can anyone tell me or have a workshop manual step by step walk through of the removal of the serpentine belt on a 96 Buick PA.
It looks like you need to remove the motormount to get the belt of and put a new one in!

Didn't have to do that with 3800 series 1 PA's.

So who can tell me what to remove exactly.

    Tnx

This is what I've found online about the 1996 PA, it looks like you have to remove an engine mount on the newer series:

    Ignore that last sentence...

Here's someone talking about a "sleeve" :Do No:

    Tnx Erik, :)

Yeah I found that to, but I wanted to make sure what the correct procedure is, before I take it all apart, cause those internet posting you can find and not very helpfull.

Hope someone will have the correct procedure in a manual and will post it here. :TU:

This is familiar to anyone owning the 95-99 Rivieras. The motor mount connects to a large 3 legged bracket that bolts to the front of the engine. The bracket slips over studs and is secured with nuts. The studs have reverse torx ends. One of the lower studs has a solid spacer. What some people do is cut that spacer in half the first time they do the job. This allows them to back the stud out enough to drop half the spacer out, and you can slip the belt through that opening. that stud will hit the frame of the car if you try to remove it entirely, and drop the entire spacer out. That is why you must support the engine, and remove the mount, so that you can drop the engine to get that stud out. Here is the write up from the rivperformance site. I'm sure the procedure is similar if not the same. The job isn't as bad as it seems. Once you do it the first time, you know what to expect, and what you need to do.
