alright I know this isn't a buick, but maybe one of you out there has a beater/gas saver...

I'm having issues with my 94' honda civic 5spd manuel, it sometimes locks me out of foward gears, and I have to jam it into rev. to get them back. the shifter does seem sloopy, but the clutch does crab good.

I have put some dot 3 fluid in the clutch resevior, it was just alittle low. that's all i done.

I just aquired this car btw.

I would replace the fluid and bleed the system.
Make sure the piston goes in and out smoothly.
It almost sounds like you pump the pedal a few times (pumping the air) and get the clutch to disengage fully and can shift gears.

My aSSumpution is the engine is running when the transmission gets Jammed.

If the engine is off, can you change gear then?

yeah, maybe I should just clean out the system? put fresh dot 3 fluid in?
