I found a NOS 72 buick 350 carb on e-bay and got it cheep so I'm now wondering if I need to rebuild it or not? It looks MINT so it must have been stored properly since I know what NOS parts look liek if they were stored wrong..... It has never had fuel in it so I'm hoping it will be factory fresh and ready to bolt on. What do you think?
Hmm you might want to make sure you properly lubricate it. If it looks that good then it probably is. Now if your familiar with these carbs then I would take it apart and ckeck it out. It won't hurt anything if you throw it on and try it. imo.
I have a fresh jon o carb to use on the 44,000 mile 73 century i'm piking up in few weeks so I might as well use that till i check this one out. Yeah I've rebuild a bunch of these carbs but at least this one wont be worn out!
Sean,I did the same on my 430,found an old stock carb on eBay.I'll suggest buying a rebuild kit and just change the gasket and seals. It will be a perfect time to seal the cavity plugs with epoxy.I did that to mine and installed it and so far it has performed very well.Good luck.
I ran it out of the sealed plastic bag it came from GM in and it was flawless! I did then rebuild/re-gasket and epoxy the cavity plugs. Cheepest q jet i have used so far thats performed at this level! Anyone have any more NOS 350 Buick carbs stashed? top $ paid!
Another possible option is that you could sell it to me and make a nice profit. Do you have any interest in parting with this?
