Circa 1975 ish. Notice the all the OEM goodies still intact and that blue voltage regulator was on the car when I got it 7 years ago. It's date coded correctly and taking these photos into account, I believe it to be original. Has anyone else ever seen that before? Currently:
Noting all the original items along with quite a few aftermarket items, I think the assumption that the VR is original after 5 years of previous ownership, is not a good assumption. Let's see if anyone else jumps in on this one.
That could be the case but whoever (may have) changed it, did so with the correct date code. Is your assumption that it didn't make the 5 year mark, even though it was still on the car over 40 years later? I've since painted it black.

No one said anything about non Buicks so…my supercharged 12 K mile Lightning BTW, it has never seen rain let alone snow. This looks new.
