Side market gaskets for 70-72. Parts Place vs. Cars?

Hi folks,

Looking to get a set of the above. Is it better to get them from Cars vs. Parts Place? It's been years since I've dealt w/ either one of them. I know in the past that both companies had their issues regarding return policies, tweaking some parts to make them fit, etc.

Just wondering about the current situation.

I have used CARS gaskets in the past with no issue.

 

I would bet they are the same. I bought long style 70 armrest chrome backing plates from Cars and it said Parts place on the box.

Of course, I meant to say "side markeR" gaskets.

I see YEAR 1 sells them, as well. Wonder if they all use the same Chinese source?

I've heard that the gaskets from CARS fit, tho you may have to heat them/boil them/stretch them to make them fit. Would rather not "baby sit" the gaskets, but maybe they all are that way?

Thanks for the replies. I now see that YEAR 1 sells them, as well, for $15.00 more ($55 vs. $40). Still wonder if they are the same (Chinese, I would guess) parts.

Anybody use YEAR 1?
