I can't seem to find the clips that hold the door/quarter trim on my 64 skylark anywhere, I have the trim, but only a few clips. Does anyone have a part # or a good source for these clips, or a suitable replacement that works?

    cheers :beer

If you can get a picture of or describe the clip, I may have some of these from cars that were parted/stripped.

I'll try and remember to take a picture of it this weekend, I had a Body supply store looking for me and He can't even find an OE part # to cross reference, I'm thinking the skylark was probably the only car to use this fastener. Boy when you really start to dig into these cars Buck really did make some improvements over what would be in a chevelle, I just realized the diference in the upper control arm bushings when I tried to replace them, I wish all cars were built like this one. Now I just have to build a real buick motor for it and it'll be all good, they ain't so easy to find anymore though, at least not where I've been looking

I spent many months looking for those clips for my '66 Lark.

Finally just filled those holes, drilled new 1/4" holes nearby and fabricated clips made from large stainless fender washers with opposite sides cut off level. Inserted the clips with the bolts into the moldings and aligned them with the body holes and tightened them from the inside. Six years later, they're still good and tight.

Yup I seem to be in the same predicament, I checked directly with most of the OEM fastener manufacturers and it seems the only way to get them is find a nos box of them some where, looks like I'll be making them also, not that big of a deal I was thinking they wouldn't be so hard to find.

    cheers
