Autos shift faster when tuned to do so. There is a reason why all the professional drag cars use trannys that are based off of autos not off of a manual. The clutchs on those cars is a power modulation device used to keep from blowing the tires over yet still lock at a point to cut the driveline losses down. Manuals are just more fun to drive though they can be less practical for a commuter.

    Just some commentary,

While you're quoting me, it was in response to Nothingface5384's quote, "I Know that Autos are slower than Manuals...". :Smarty:

I was only making the point, to his quote, that a Manual can be shifted FASTER, but will never be as EFFICIENT as an Automatic! Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but I'll let the Automatics speak for themselves! :TU:

not all autos are slower example the nissan 5 speed auto and the newer autos with the tq mangament remove are as fast as most manuals case in point the newer silverados

tq managment is basically the computer pulling the timming when you nail it from a stop and in between shifts.....this is why the newer trucks wont spin the tires from a stop very well
