I'm a Buick newbie...could 70-72 Skylark f/r bumpers, trunk, fenders and quarters be used as donor parts for a 70 Stage 1 ?

I figure all Buick A body parts (except hoods) could be used interchangeably in restoring a Stage 1 from a Skylark donor, but I'm new at this and want to be sure before I start spending.

hood is different in every year, front bumpers from 70 are diffrent than the 71/72 ones but 71 and 72 are same. grilles are diffrent in every year, headlight benzels are diffrent from year, rear bumpers are all unique to the year. all body sheet metal except for the hood is the same.

GS has a different hood lip molding.

    OK. Thanks.

Do folkls who need multiple sheet metal body parts to restore a GS commonly seek donor Skylarks ?

Or do they wait until the right parts appear, sparing the Skylark from being stripped ?

Also, I guess I'll recognize the hood lip molding when I see it.....

There are pics of the different molding in the archieves. Use the search key. In general the GS molding the not wide, much more expensive and harder to find.
