  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Being made smaller & smaller everyday with technology evolving by the minute.

1929 Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada.
Very young, unwed couple have a new baby girl. Without means to support the child, the parents give her up to a Catholic orphanage here in Saint John. She stays until she's about 18 months & is adopted by a couple from Bathurst, NB. Has lived a full & happy life, still going strong, however, did not marry or have any children. Turns 90 in April.

1931 Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada.
SAME very young, unwed couple have another new baby girl. Without means to support the child, the parents give her up to a Catholic orphanage here is Saint John. She stays until she's about 6 months & is taken back to the Island by her maternal grandparents. Raised in a house of 10 brothers & sisters who were really her aunts & uncles ! Marries & has 3 children, still going strong. Turns 88 in July.

2018 Saint John NB on the East Coast of Canada
1929 has a "near" relative based on the Ancestry DNA program.
1931 has a daughter with a near relative on the same site.
Daughter coaxes 1931 to submit a DNA sample & see where the bottle stops spinning.

    Bingo!
1929 & 1931 are both direct matches & long lost sisters neither ever knew existed. They met shortly after for the first time after spending most of their lives less than a 4hr. drive from each other, A stunning likeness is there, as are their stories. Lots of stories to tell ! Each heard stories as children, each always thought.....?

This year I have a "NEW" aunt to buy a Christmas card for & she has a new favorite nephew! HA!
The 1931 lady is my Mother. The 1929 lady is my new Aunt.

Merry Christmas to everyone here & enjoy the Holidays!

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Wonderful story. Just would have been even better had they met a lot sooner. Only God knows why they met at this time in their lives. I was adopted as well. I knew that as a child. What I didn't know, until I was about 50, was that I had 6 Sisters and 10 Brothers. Long story for another time............
