I have a '69 430 out of a Wildcat that I am preparing to put into my 71 Skylark. I want to rebuild the carb and was going to go to Napa to pick up a kit. Now comes the problem. There is no tag on the carb. The only Identification I have is the 29240MD 0929 on the carb.

Now I know the 29 is the year identification for 1969 but don't know what kit to order. They looked up the engine and it is supposed to be a 4MV, but that still doesn't say exactly which kit to buy.

Any that has a 430 engine from '69 know which carb kit to order.

You are missing the first couple of numbers on your stamping...human error

    Should be 7029240

Thanks. Is it common for the first two digits to be missing?

Is this a Quadrajet--"Made by Carter" carb?
I kinda remember that there were carbs made minus the first two digits--but I don't remember details.
