So what has killed our beloved PURE STOCK sec tion??
Is it the FAcebook crap? or the thought of weezer Turds coming in??
Or are we all on the Dyno SUPER tuning for spring time?? :Brow:

Miss the beloved misguided banter among friends.... See you all soon in the Spring Martin race as Long as it doesn't become another Chicago vs Detroit grudge race nightmare... I haven't seen that many Immature acting Nut jobs since the New Street Outlaws New ORLEANS show. (which BLOWS by the way!!)

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I'm not in that thread. Nothing I have qualifies to run. But I am going to do my best to come down and pester you guys again! Maybe we can all take a cruise to Finishline this time.............and just for fun because no one is going to break anything! BTW, I live just north of Martin and if anyone needs anything or a place to park a trailer, etc..........

Tim was thinking the same thing. Maybe everyone is busy doing something or nothing. Me I'm working on a new pure stocker. And agree... the new street outlaws show sucks.

Hopefully, winter. Although, I have seen alot of stuff on the facebooks that in the past I woulda have seen here first, mine included. I have to admit, Facebook makes it easier with no image resizing, direct tie in to the phone, communicator, etc...But being the old fart that I am, I cant figure out when I'm sending stuff to just one person or the whole damn world - just ask Tom Miller.

So anyways, in the spirit of equal platform sharing - I just wrapped up an axle swap on the 65, took out the 8.2 3.23 and threw in a 3.42 8.5. I had no issues with the 3.23, but the Auburn posi was getting a little lazy, and I've got a bunch of 8.5 ring and pinions on the shelf. Just in case I decide to go with a set of 5.13's for Stanton this year....

Top it off with an emoji and pictures....and done.

Thanks Jim - I've had it out a couple of times - it is a legit Stage 1, and hasran a best of 14.2 @ 97 with a 60 ft of 2.10 on those skinny whitewalls....I havent really dialed it in yet, it takes a buttload of initial timing to really run, wont idle well and runs pretty hot - maybe 220-230. I've also got to "re-stock" it - it's got headers and a B4B, and once i've got the motor dialed in I'll put the 4 spd back in. Side pipes are now gone, replaced with a mandrel X and Walkers.

But there is no nicer car to drive at the track - it's like a milk run at the top end.

Too cold in the garage to work on anything and no $$ to do it anyways, lol. I ended up digging out all of my model building stuff and got back into that for the winter. Finished 3 partially built kits that have been boxed up for 30 years waiting to be completed. Keeps my mind off of not being able to do anything with the 1:1 scale model in the garage and that in turn keeps my mind off of selling it. :)

been working to help pay for the paint and body work on the W-31. It was just put in primer and now onto blocking :TU:
have been trying to find time to work on the W-31 chassis. I received some of my parts back from the plater, but still awaiting bolts so I can start bolting things back onto the chassis.
have also been acquiring some parts for a future pure stock project (which I may never get to) for the wife

Methinks the whole social media thing has saturated our lives to the point of ho hum (and that's with me shunning Facebook). At least for me it has. No Facebook for me, because I don't get a sh*t if your dog just ate your PB & J sandwich. I don't want to know or waste my time reading about it!

I do visit this site often though, and like Tim, miss the banter among friends.
