Here is what another member tells me about the much needed source for wider than stock chrome colored seat piping: Send a $26.45 M.O. to Ernie Keener, 210 S. Nectarine Street, Cornelius, Or. 97113. This member has installled a roll and he says it works. If you have ever tried the regular stuff you know the problem the wide mouth is intended to address.
Jim Are you saying that it is actually wider than stock, or wider than the too skinny reproduction stuff from Y1?
Phil Buicklawyer installed it and I have not seen it. My experince is that in the curves the stock roll stuff has too shallow a cut to stay put. This is designed to correct the problem. He reports it works. I have since gotten a company name and email address of: E & S Keener Classic Trim ernie442@netzero.net As you and Patton know you have the same trim on 442 seats of the same vintage. I think John saw this stuff at the Olds Nationals in Seattle.
It is wider so it looks much better than the skinny and is as close to the stock as you will find. It is in a roll and still requires patience and some skin to install. John
