These are typically painted the same color as the Trunk on the 1970 - 1972 Models.
Not sure on the other years but the manufacture says these are correct for 1964 - 1972. . . .

This is the Spare Tire Board which is a 20" Diameter.

The Covers are offered in 14" or 15"

Yes, they're supposed to be painted with the same trunk splatter paint you choose to paint the trunk with. . . . . that way they match the trunk.
