I am looking for the 2 clips which attach the speedometer cable to the bottom of the bellhousing for a 1970 GSX 4-speed. This is one of the last items I need to complete the restoration.

The photo shows one of the brackets. It was taken from a 1972 GSX 455 4-speed. I assume the 70 brackets are the same as the 72 brackets(???).

I recognize that this is a very uncommon part so I am willing to trade for whatever you might need. I have accumulated an awful lot of GS/GSX parts over the years so if you have the clips and are willing to part with them let me know what you need and maybe we can swap. I am not concerned about equal dollar value.

    Brian,
Did you ever get those clips? If so where.
    Thanks

    Matt,

I never had any success finding the clips so I made some. I'm not sure if they are correct or not but at least they work. If anyone has one I can copy I can duplicate it.

    Brian,
I took a wire clamp and made one. I dont care about correct but the one I made just doesn't look right. Your picture shows it attached to the bolt that goes through the 4-speed, do you know if thats correct? My manual looks like its using the 2 empty holes at the bottom of the bellhousing.

    Matt,

The photo shows the clips used on a 1972 GSX 455 4 speed. The clips are original. I assume 70 and 71 used the same clips.
