Hey guys, After only 34.5k miles on my '80 LeSabre the speedometer started acting funny last night. It clicks (presumably as it passes every 10th of a mile), the needle wavers around wildly (but generally within 15 mile each way of actual speed), and the odometer and trip have stopped recording. Pretty sure it is the gauge unit from the above so I'm expecting broken gears when I open it up.... If so- are there ANY replcements on the market? Bearing in mind I am in Britain. Many thanks
Well I took it apart and put it all back together and it seems resolved. Maybe the housing that holds the inner assembly had relaxed a bit over time. I don't know. But all working fine now. Gears looked great!
