A good friend who was a GM mechanic for 25 years always told me to use Vaseline on these cables. It always worked for me and is nice and thick.
before you worry about greasing cable make sure ends of cable are nice &smooth a very gentle grind to smooth it [dont take afoot off] trudy
Yep that is what I did with mine. Take it out of the dash, lube it with lithium grease and side er back in. Fixed the noise and jumping. be careful not to use too much.
