ST 400 or TH 400?????

    ok, i searched and searched around and could not find an answer to my question. i am wondering what tranny came with my car. its a 1964 buick electra 225 with the 401. im not sure if it matters but the carb on it is a rochester 4gc. its in all origional configuration, so its not like the tranny has been changed out. tia!

    All full size Buicks for 1964 got the non switch-pitch ST 400. The exception was the LeSabre, which got the ST 300, the two speed version.
