ST300 to 4 Speed?

I'm considering doing away with my ST300 auto, how much trouble would it be, to locate all the neccesary parts to convert 68 Skylark to a 4 speed car?
I found that Jegs has BOP Turbo 350's for $649, which will bolt in.
    thats the easy solution!
But I'd really like a 4 speed manual........does anyone have a list of the parts
that I need, or better yet does anyone have the parts for sale?
I need driveshaft info, bell housing........
and is it worth it.....I'm seeing $$$$$$$$$ ?

I am doing that right now. Haven't actually started the job yet, but am compiling parts. I have a pretty comprehensive list I had planned on putting on this forum when done, but would be happy to share with you. It has all the parts needed, I believe, and I've started to add vendors and pricing. So it is a work in progress, but close to complete.

As for cost, I am way over budget due to things I didn't figure on. One was finding an original shifter and stick which cost more than a standard Hurst Competition Plus. And I have to replace the driveshaft as well. And I spent more for the transmission than maybe I had to, but these are just issues related to me. But I will be easily over $3,000 when done. Some of it depends on how original you want it to appear to be.

    I just finished a 70 Olds 442.

The question is: How correct do you want to be?

I went the 100% factory route. Needed the following:

    - Pedals
    - Bellhousing
    - Clutch linkage
    - Transmission
    - Correct shifter handle and mechanism
    - Clutch/PP/Flywheel
    - Driveshaft
    - Floor hump
    - Neutral Safety switch
    - Back up switch

Lots or odds and ends as well.

I spent about $3K, but that included:

    - a rebuilt M21
    - a rebuilt Hurst shifter mechanism
    - a rebuilt driveshaft

It took me about 40 hours to pull the T400, and replace everything.

Let me know if you have other questions
