Hey Lon-I miss talking to you at night on I.M-you must be getting more sleep these days, eh? I actually didn't start missing my Buick till this past sunday-cause-I got to garage it for the new owner through last saturday. While I never drove it again, it was there to uncover and look at now and again. Yeah, I miss it............ As for the Ford-I personally have not done that much to it-de-trim and clean up some and collect a bunch of parts, and haul it over to the bodyshop. Those guys are workin hard on it though. the block/crank/rods/pistons are FINALLY at the machine shop, although I am still a pile of parts and cash away from the engine running and the car is gonna need a lot of work once it comes home, just in wring/fuel plumbing, etc etc. but I AM enjoying a new project in a world where I know nothing!
we have color!! at least on the main body, fenders and hood still in primer, but it's really good-flourescent lights relect kind of wierd in these pics, but in person, it is really nice. Once the 5 miles of stainless trim, the chrome window surrounds and bumpers and the polished welds are back on, it should look great!
paint is fantastic, polished and we are home again, finally! now the hard work starts, putting it together without scratching it!
Looking real good!!!!! Good Luck on the finishing touches. Looks like summer is around the corner here in Ohio. Talk wit ya later, Lon
Look at the new Hot rod mag. Jon Kaase has built a new head for the 429-460 thats basically a Boss head. That would be way cool in that car! I was wondering how your FE search is coming
located a block locally :TU: , currently in the machine shop, have not heard from them in a couple of weeks, which means I probably neeed to give em more money soon!! I gave them plenty to do, but I know they will be done before I am ready.
Whaaa, weeee have here....is failure to communicate.....Buicks VS Ford...Scott is my friend and will remain my friend but now he is beyond the 10 foot pole....LOL
hey sam you get home ok then? you bringing vf 2 up to the all gm show at woodley park in van nuys the 28th?
allriiiight-we have some forward progress now! all the body trim is on except the front bumper/grille/headlights, which I am leaving apart until engine is in car. also got the headliner finished up just today!! dash & stg column are painted satin black down low, painted the pad with plastic paint, seems to be holding up ok so far. machine work is sloooowly moving forward, as money permits. todays pics: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:
