Stainless or Aluminum transmission crossmembers?

    Hello all!

    This got me nervous:

    If we made these out of something that wouldn't rust, we wouldn't have these problems. I'd buy one because I'm sure my car needs it, and there are probably a lot of other guys that might too. If it's the same crossmember for several different cars, there might be a sizable market for it.

    Is this worth pursuing?

    Powder coat rather than paint on these will make them last more than our lifetime.

    Not worth it.

    You can use the trans x-mbers from Cutlass and LeMans models too.

    Most of the problems with rusted ends are from cars in the salt belt and were driven frequently during the winters. Otherwise, most other cars do not have this problem.

    You can also buy tubular crossmembers from Bowtie Overdrives and other transmission places.
