What ratio do you guys have or recommend for a street/strip build-up for a 70-72?I want something tighter than the original but not so tight that when racing, the car won't veer of the track if I have to correct . :Do No:

I went with an AGR 12:1. Really tightened up the car. It is pricey, but a direct bolt-in. Just make sure you clearcoat it or paint it, it will rust rather quickly because it is bare metal when it arrives.

I used an 87 trans-am box on mine. Had to get a local hydraulic shop to make hi pressure hose. I kept the orig. pump but used the power valve from the trans am pump. Had to use my orig. pitman arm. Really cheap and really tightened up the steering. Only downside is small loss on turning radius.

I used 1 out of a 90's Grand Cherekee. There are a lot of threads on all the details of how to do this. What you are looking for is a box with a "z" on it for the 12:1 ratio. The trick is getting enough steering angle with the stops so you can turn around in less than 40 acres.
