    Michael Evans a new project

I guess most everything is easy to fit when your a couple hundred mile away  .

Wish I was there with it in person.

Good luck how ever you can fix it.

A pic of the installed pan.

With respect to the dipstick hole not being cut in the screen, I elected to to do this myself with a radio chassis punch after mockup assembly of everything as I never got back to Stef's as to whether the halo had any interference effect on the dipstick and its final location. Turns out it didnot and probably the standard location would have sufficed. There was no notching necessary on the pan rail itself.

Your point on on additional bracing of a long pickup up (regardless on how sturdy the construction) is a good one. I also used longer high strength Allen head cap screws on the mounting flange.

........and now on to bolting on the heads SPX and domi.

what a stock 455 block can put up with !!!

I have a 4.5 stroke BBB W/ 757 hp @ 6100 rpm 745ft lbs @ 4800 rpm with a oil pan girdle. Its 1".25 to 1".50 cast aluminum with large webbing over each main caps to post tension on each main stud The motor was Dyno tested 18 pulls , on the street and track from 2004 to this year. The car is lowered so the sump is low for street unless car is stock height . Took it all apart to refresh it , So I'm thinking of selling the block and pan to someone who wants to build a good 650 to 700 hp. The block is filled to the top of the freeze plugs and it has metal plates in the lifter galley epoxy in place and all oil mods. The block looks good the last time out at the track 10.913 @127-126 with second gear slip and spun the tires hard .Hot oil press was 19. @ 950 rpm And 72,3 above 4500 rpm .So if any one is interested in the block and pan , let me know....
    .... Thanks

    Sounds awesome!

Per the board rules, you'll have to post this in the "parts for sale" section and specify a price. The rules are stuck at the top of that forum to avoid heartburn, check them out.
