Does anyone know the stock bumper height for a 55 special. I want to lower the front but i'm not sure how far my stock springs have sagged over the last 50 years.. thanx chad
Finding true bumper height may be tough but a shop manual should show ride/trim height for your car. Just get yourself under the car and measure the installed/loaded height of the springs and the coil diameter etc... now, then go to a GOOD parts store and ask for their spring book. Check your measurements against those in the book and order accordingly. This is how I raised the rear of mine an inch and a half.
