As a point of information, my '69 Special 4-door (VIN 433699I120377) had a ST-300 behind a dealer-installed 350 V8 (shown on the bill of sale). So even though though the car came from the factory with a I-6, the dealers used to do fun stuff back then like replacing the factory I-6 with a V8. I really liked the ST-300 too! -Bob C.
Sorry, car is gone now and I don't have a record of the trim tag. -Bob C. EDIT: Also worth noting that my Plant code was I = Oshawa (Canada) so maybe that mixes things up a bit. Had the Chevy 12-bolt rear.
In light of the new thread about codes on a ‘67, maybe EXLD is related to the codes above them… E meaning A/C, X maybe power windows(?), L (unknown) and D door edge guards? Patrick http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/exyso-on-67-body-number-plate.374195/
