Thats what I need in a 28 x 10.5. Will this size work in the wheel wells without rubbing? I currently run a 295/50 15 in a street tire. Rims are special order 10 inch deep stock with backspacing that I can't remember.

    Or what do you use?

Those "Fast" cars are not your typical animal they are making tons of power to pour on down track, and Fast races have awesome prep and have ALOT of runs tuning suspension

Yes those tires will fit and they will give good traction... I had 295/55R15 Drag radials on my old car and they fit well and filled out the wheel well. I also had 285/70R15 on the same car and they fit fine as well but they were much taller.

Very true. There's more to it than the tires. But even a 9 inch wide section width is enough to get you close to the 9s. (10.18).

Oh, we have "235" and 8in races down here in the South ,and if you don't run high 5's you may as well not show up. But if running on test and tune track are going to be where you play you need as much tire as can be stuffed. Or trips to the track become pointless jmo.

If you run slicks you WILL be more consistent getting it to leave, just be sure to run tubes the car WILL be MUCH more stable down track. With Radials you want the big boys 325's or the 295's , I never had any luck with the 275's , now the MT 275 PRO's are a different story they are awesome but if driven on won't last long at all
