i primed almost half my car with acrylic urathane high build primer on bare metal, after reading everyones recomended use of epoxy on bare metal, should i strip the car of the newly primed areas and re prime with epoxy primer? im not sure if i should do that or just finish priming with urathane?

The only 2K urethane primers that I know of that are DTM (direct to metal) are TranStar Euro Primer and the R-M DP Power Fill primer.
If you did not use either of those and did not treat the metal with something like Martin-Senour Triple Etch, chances are the adhesion will not be good nor will it have good corrosion protection.
Even many of the epoxy primers (such as PPG DP 40) actually need the metal treated prior to application unless the metal is sandblasted.
Both R-M and Glasurit make excellent chromated or zinc phosphate epoxy primers that do not require the metal to be treated.
Another option is to use acid etch primer, which we never do as most of them are so touchy about film build. If it's applied to thick it never thoroughly dries and cause problems after being topcoated.
Give me an e-mail if you want to discuss the subject further.
